WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING PATIENTS FOR IN-PERSON VISITS AS WELL AS TELEHEALTH.  PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SELECT THE PROPER TYPE OF VISIT WHEN BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT.

 

How do you make an appointment?

Please send an email to info@thesohocenter.com if you’d like to make an appointment.

If you are using insurance, please include a photo of your insurance card AND your complete date of birth so that we can verify your insurance benefits and email you an explanation of how much your insurance will and will not cover (and what you can expect your out of pocket costs to be).

If you are not using insurance, we offer sliding scale rates .

Please ask us about it. One you email us, allow 24 to 48 hours for us to get back to you.

 

 


Do you accept insurance?

Some providers are in network while others are not.  When you submit your insurance information to us, we will give you a good faith estimate for our services which varies from insurance company to insurance company.  It will depend largely on which therapist you'd like to see and wether they participate with your insurance company.  We will submit all claims on your behalf, wether or not the provider is in network with your particular insurance company.  Before your first appointment ever happens, you will be completely advised of all costs, including what your insurance will and will not cover. Rest assured, there is never a surprise bill with us!

 

 


What is a deductible?

The amount of your deductible can range from $0 to $10,000 or more, regardless if you are in network or out of network.

A deductible is the amount of $ that your insurance expects you to pay out of pocket for medical treatment BEFORE they are required to make payments according to your contract with them.  Often times, after your deductible is met, your insurance company will pay for between 50% and 100% of the cost of treatment.

 

 


Do you offer sliding scale?

Yes!  Our sliding scale is for those people who don't have insurance.  It starts at $100 to see a Resident and goes up from there, depending on your income.  Proof of income is required in order to qualify.

 


How much are your sessions?

The initial session, called the intake, is $375.  Each additional session is $350. Prices vary according to therapist and range anywhere from $100 to $225.  Please inquire about pricing according to therapist.


Do you offer bi-weekly sessions?

Yes and No. Studies show that therapy is only effective if you see your therapist weekly.  Bi-weekly sessions just don't offer the same benefits and we don't want to waste your time and money.   Bi-weekly sessions are usually reserved for clients who have been in therapy consistently on a weekly basis for the amount of time required to reach their goals and who want maintenance sessions to help ease the transition to leaving therapy altogether.
