Amanda Lopez
Hi, I’m Amanda!
I’m a Soho Center Advanced Clinical Resident who believes change begins with honest reflection and the willingness to keep showing up, even when things feel messy or uncertain. My approach is integrative and conversational, and I see therapy as something we do together to better understand what’s going on and figure out what tools, insights, and approaches work for you. Together, we explore patterns, emotions, and experiences with curiosity and care, while also focusing on how to move forward in ways that feel realistic and lasting.
Before beginning my counseling journey, I earned my bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fordham University and spent several years working in Human Resources. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for human complexity, personal values, and how people navigate relationships, identity, stress, and change across many areas of life.

I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University. As a Latina clinician-in-training, I bring a perspective shaped by cultural awareness, lived experience, and an understanding of how family, expectations, and environment can influence emotional well-being. I strive to create a space that feels grounded, respectful, and genuine. I aim to be direct yet compassionate, someone who listens closely, asks thoughtful questions, and helps you make sense of what’s been hard to face on your own.
