Edie Lauer
I take an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy, drawing primarily from psychodynamic and relational approaches while incorporating cognitive-behavioral strategies and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) when helpful. I believe that understanding the connections between our past experiences, emotions, relationships, and behaviors can create opportunities for meaningful change. My goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, build emotional flexibility, and better understand the patterns that may be impacting their lives and relationships.I specialize in working with clients navigating chronic illness, health anxiety, and relationship struggles, while also supporting clients with a wide range of concerns and life transitions. My experience working with individuals, children, and families has shaped my belief that therapy should be tailored to each person’s unique needs and experiences. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where clients can feel understood, explore difficult emotions, and work toward greater fulfillment in their lives and relationships.
