Bilingual Therapist | English & Spanish | Psychodynamic & Humanistic Approach
I’m Elene, an Associate Psychotherapist at The Soho Center. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Brooklyn College and bring a bilingual, multicultural perspective to my work, offering therapy in both English and Spanish. My academicbackground includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Deusto in Spain and Radboud University in the Netherlands, experiences that continue to inform my inclusive and culturally sensitive approach to mental health.
I work with adults navigating relationship challenges, attachment wounds, breakups, grief, loneliness, self-esteem concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. I also have experience supporting clients through cultural adjustment, familyexpectations, and the complexities of balancing multiple identities and life roles.
My approach is psychodynamic, somatic, and humanistic. Together, we explore how your early experiences have shaped the ways you relate to yourself and others today, while also paying attention to how these experiences live in the body. I believe that symptomsare not simply problems to eliminate, but meaningful expressions of deeper emotional experiences. Through our work, we can identify patterns that no longer serve you, develop greater self-understanding, and create new ways of relating that feel more secureauthentic, and aligned with who you are.
My style is warm, compassionate, and genuine. I strive to create a space where you can slow down, feel truly heard, and show up as your full self without judgment. Above all, I believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. As Irvin Yalomwrote, “It’s the relationship that heals.” Building a trusting and collaborative connection is at the heart of my work.
Whether you are seeking relief from emotional pain, greater clarity in your relationships, or a deeper understanding of yourself, I would be honored to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.
