“Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength.” – Sigmund Freud

Hello! I am Isabelle Perez, MHC-LP, a Mental Health Counselor at The Soho Center dedicated to helping children, families, and adults navigate life’s challenges and strengthen their relationships. I believe therapy should center on each client’s unique story, strengths, and goals, empowering individuals to build resilience and foster lasting personal growth.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. I aim to create a reflective and compassionate space where clients can safely explore their emotions, uncover patterns of thought and behavior, and cultivate deeper self-awareness. Guided by psychological principles of attunement and congruence, I view the therapeutic relationship as a co-created process that nurtures insight, emotional regulation, and genuine change.

I earned my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Niagara University and hold a Bachelor in Child & Family Studies, with minors in Psychology and Spanish, from the University of Tennessee. My professional background includes years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults in educational and clinical settings. I have a particular interest in relational dynamics, including communication challenges, family systems, and attachment-based concerns.

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy yoga, running, reading, and exploring new foods. I am committed to supporting each client’s ongoing process of integration, emotional growth, and relational well-being. It is a privilege to accompany individuals as they deepen their understanding of self and move toward greater harmony and wholeness.
