Lynne Roth
My aim is to help my clients strengthen the skills that make change possible, including self-understanding, emotional regulation, and a kinder relationship with themselves. My personal experiences with life stressors and my work in high-energy, complex medical care and community settings have shaped my understanding of meaningful change. They have shown me that transformation is possible at all ages and under many difficult conditions.

My approach is to understand the client’s experiences and concerns from their own point of view, with acceptance, care, and respect for their individual experience. I apply cognitive behavioral and psychoanalytic modalities along with a humanistic and person-centered approach to work with adults in addressing anxiety, depression, crises, loss, relationship issues, and more.

In addition to working as part of The Soho Center team, I am currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Mental Health Counseling at SUNY/Old Westbury. I completed my undergraduate work in the field at Barnard College/Columbia University. I look forward to collaborating with you to understand your sources of pain, explore how they developed, and work together to overcome them.
