As a Mental Health Counselor, I believe in supporting and empowering clients to focus on their many strengths and become the best version of themselves. My goal as a counselor is to cultivate a warm and safe environment that offers a space for growth and positive change. I utilize an integrative approach, using various techniques that encourage clients to discuss the many emotions and challenges they face in life.
I received a Bachelors's degree in Psychology and completed studies in Human Development at the University of Alabama. I went on to complete my Master's degree at CUNY Hunter College in Mental Health Counseling. My academic background has prepared me to work in a diverse population and with various concerns such as depression, anxiety grief, trauma, and other emotional issues. I believe that profound change lies within the client and I am here to listen, reflect, challenge and assist you through the process. I will encourage you to use your time in therapy to express yourself openly and freely, without judgment. In order to meet your current mental health needs, we will develop a treatment plan together that feels right for you. By developing an honest and trusting therapeutic relationship you will have the space to work on your current struggles and get to where you want to be. We accept most insurance plans. If we are not in network with your particular plan, and you have out of network benefits, we will work with your insurance company to get you as close to an in network experience as possible. Give us a call and we’ll verify your benefits. Our personal guarantee is that you will never receive a surprise bill. Before your first appointment, you will know exactly how much you will have to pay and how much your insurance will cover. Even if your insurance doesn’t cover the whole thing, we’ll never charge you more than your in-network co-insurance once you’ve met your deductible.
