All human beings are capable of change, but it can be daunting to begin the journey of self-healing to facilitate this change. I intend to support and guide my clients through their most significant challenges and triumphs in their lives by creating a safe, collaborative therapeutic relationship. I approach the therapy process with a holistic and eclectic person-centered framework, deriving techniques from traditional and post-modern approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) , Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. I value advocacy and social justice for individuals of all backgrounds and communities, with a specific commitment to the LGBTQIA+ population.
I have previous experience working with adolescents and adults at an outpatient eating disorder clinic in NYC. Before pursuing clinical work, I had an extensive background as an educator for K-12 and college students.
I earned double bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Medical Humanities & Health Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis as a first-generation student. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Fordham University Lincoln Center.
