Your new life is going to cost you your old one. Rooted in compassion and sincerity, my goal is to continuously challenge you in unlocking a more authentic, unapologetic version of yourself. Therapy can be daunting, especially when growth often means sacrificing comfort. However, when you sit in that chair across the room or on the other side of the screen from me, I am present, here-and-now, with your voice every step of the way.
As your therapist, I aim to understand your story through my curiosity about your unique experiences. My work is guided with humility, open-mindedness, and cultural sensitivity. With an integrative approach, I utilize different elements from cognitive, dialectical, and psychodynamic therapy and cater my guidance to meet you where you are at.
As a Filipina-American daughter of immigrant parents, I witness life through the lens of how your identities impact your experiences, especially within marginalized communities. I draw largely from a multicultural counseling theoretical approach to understand how your intersectional identities, upbringing, and experiences may come into play with your mental health journey. As human beings, we are more alike than we are different. In our therapeutic alliance, I am committed to finding that connection despite our differences and welcome you to bring your beliefs and identities to the table.
I earned my Bachelor’s of Science degrees in developmental psychology and public health from the University of California, San Diego. I am completing my master’s in counseling for mental health and wellness at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
