I am deeply committed to creating a safe, nurturing space where we can cultivate the real, trusting relationships that form the foundation of transformative therapy. My approach is influenced by a deep understanding of different cultural backgrounds, focusing on an existential and person-centered approach to help clients find meaning and navigate life’s challenges. I am particularly passionate about social justice issues; through a feminist lens, I address the pain inflicted by societal injustices and work to empower clients to reclaim their power within patriarchal structures.
Throughout our sessions, we will embark on a journey of self-discovery, where joy comes from getting closer to one's true self. While therapy may not change everything immediately, it offers a real and comfortable experience of life through professional guidance and self-exploration. Whether you're dealing with specific dilemmas or are just curious about counseling, I'm here to support and work with you. We can explore your goals, or simply take time to figure out what you seek from life.
Having lived and worked in China, Malaysia, and the United States, I bring a multicultural perspective to my practice, along with fluency in English and Mandarin. Additionally, my background as a professional classical pianist and training in music and art therapy allow me to incorporate expressive healing processes into our sessions. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Music from New York University, and I am currently a graduate student in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University.
