I believe that every person has the capacity to learn, grow, and heal, to move towards their highest potential, and to flourish. I provide a collaborative and affirming space in which we will work together to implement strategies that lead to greater flourishing. Drawing from psychodynamic theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based therapies, I utilize a combination of therapeutic techniques that will support the goals we define together. I integrate certain modalities from the field of positive psychology research. I believe that understanding how we came to develop our behaviors and perceptions is an important first step in empowering ourselves to change them.
I completed a Master’s degree in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling through the Department of Applied Psychology at New York University. I am a Certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator and a teacher of the Mindful Self-Compassion 8-week program. I hold a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to beginning my clinical training in mental health counseling, I worked in the financial technology sector overseeing new product launches in North America and in East Africa.
