Isabelle Perez

“Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength.” – Sigmund Freud

Hello! I am Isabelle Perez, a passionate intern currently completing my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Niagara University. I believe that the therapeutic journey should focus on each client's unique needs and strengths to empower individuals to harness their inner resources and achieve personal growth. My approach to therapy involves the principles of person-centered therapy. I firmly believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and self-improvement when provided with a genuine, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment. By actively listening and understanding my client’s experiences, I am to foster a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship. While I am early in my professional journey, I have gained valuable experience and education that provides me with the tools to properly serve my clients. I earned my undergraduate degree in Child 7 Family Studies, with a minor in both psychology and Spanish, from the University of Tennessee. This education, combined with my years of working in schools, community centers, and with families, has provided me with the skills to be a great counselor with children, adolescents, families, and couples. Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy things such as yoga, reading, running, and trying new foods. Overall, I am here to support you on your journey towards better mental health. Please feel free to reach out to schedule an appointment!
