As a mental health counselor, it is my priority to ensure that my clients are provided a healthy, safe, and comfortable space to share their most vulnerable, private, and personal experiences. I help create this space by first working to build a strong and trusting relationship with each other, while incorporating an unconditional positive regard and an empathetic, warm approach. In our work together, I will often implement techniques from the following practices: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and others. Because these therapy styles are not one size fits all, I will tailor our treatment in accordance with what is needed based on individual experiences.
I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. John’s University, then went on to earn my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling with summa cum laude honors from Long Island University. Throughout my experience, I have worked with clients of various age groups who have struggled with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and more. I not only have the desire to help people live more comfortably, but I have a passion for this work, and I will make sure that you do not face these struggles alone. I look forward to working with you!
